Then they (older women) can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. A group of women will meet one evening each quarter (Spring, Summer, and Fall) this year for a cooking class, the teaching of one precept, and sharing a meal and table talk related to the precept taught that evening. We will have the opportunity to build relationships with one another, and with mentors, as we strive to fulfill the directive of Titus 2:4–5. Due to space limitations for the cooking class, this ministry will be limited to 20 women at each seminar.
There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer for the upcoming meeting for the next two Sundays.
This will be an opportunity for those of you who have wanted to be a part of Apples of Gold to “whet your appetite.” This is open to all women. If you have already participated in an Apples of Gold class and would like to be a part, we ask that you sign up on a waiting list. We will offer it first to others who have not taken the class.
The Fall class will be Friday, September 7, from 6:00-9:00 pm; the topic will be “Loving Your Husbands” taught by Carolyn Davidson. We ask that you sign up no later than Monday, September 3. If you need childcare, please contact Dianne Burns and let her know how many children need childcare.
